What is a personal data?

A personal data is information that is traceable to you as a person. Think of your name, your address, your e-mail address and your IP address. You can find more information about the definition of personal data on the website of the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Why Buro de Vakmannen needs personal data

Buro de Vakmannen processes your personal data to be able to contact you by telephone if you request it, and / or to be able to contact you in writing (by e-mail and / or by post) if you can not be reached by telephone. This is often the case in the framework of the (possibly future) execution of an agreement with you, usually consisting of legal services.

We also process personal data when you register for a meeting, workshop or other event that Buro de Vakmannen organizes. We never store that data for longer than is necessary and use it only for the purpose we have let you know in advance.

We also process personal data when performing user research. This can for example be a user test or interview at a location where we invite you (on site research), or an online survey or a (telephone) user survey. Sometimes we also make image and sound recordings from both online and on site surveys. We always ask for your permission beforehand and we do not store any data longer than necessary.

How long does Buro de Vakmannen retain the personal data

Buro de Vakmannen never stores your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the goals for which your data is collected. Usually this is a few weeks to a few months, but never longer than a year if no agreement is made with you. The only exception to this is when you, as a respondent, have explicitly given permission for using a photo (or other personal data) in presentations or social media.

Share with others

Buro de Vakmannen will only provide your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of an agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation. Think of sharing results with our clients.

Social media

When taking part in our workshops and tests you can be photographed by us. We then share these photos on social media (eg Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn). We ask permission for posting where possible.

Mapping website visit

On the website of Buro de Vakmannen, general visitor information is kept, including the IP address of your computer and the time of retrieval and data that your browser sends. This data is used for analyzes of visitor and click behavior on the website. Buro de Vakmannen uses this information to improve the functioning of the website. This data is anonymised as much as possible and is not provided to third parties.

Google Analytics

Buro de Vakmannen uses Google Analytics to keep track of how users use the website and how effective the Adwords advertisements of Buro de Vakmen are with Google search result pages.

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can send a request for inspection, correction or deletion to info@burodevakmannen.nl. Buro de Vakmannen will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
